THE INHERITANCE OF LIBERO H

The pedigree of IOWA is very interesting as it brings together some of the best european blood lines. His sire LIBERO H (Landgraf), a great winner in CSIO, winner of the World Cup at Bercy in1988, is one of the best stallions in the world for many years now.Father of the famous CASTLE FORBES LIBERTINA (N°3 in the world 2008), GRAND LIBERO (10th in the world 2006), MAIKE (37th in 2005), NO MERCY (N°50 in 2007), LADY DES HAYETTES (180th in 2005), JULIA DES BRUMES (230th in 2007), LIBERTY etc...

The dam of IOWA is a daughter of the dutch foundation stallion, NIMMERDOR.

His 2nd mother comes from the top thoroughbred stallion PERICLES father of many winners .

His 3rd dam VIOLA B is thought of as one of the best mothers in the KWPN studbook.

VIOLA B is the grand mother on the mothers side of the stallion JODOKUS and mother of the stallion TOPAS (father of many international winners). The famous crack OKIDOKI (Jodokus x Topas) is by the way inbred 3 x 3 on VIOLA B. It is the same mother line of the KWPN stallion MARIUS (exported to GB) father of the crack MILTON, and also of the stallions LOCHNAGAR, OLYMPIC W, VINDICATOR, FORTUIN, FLAMINGO, KELVIN.

SIRE OF THE WORLD 1999
IOWA started his show career in Holland where he was placed 8th in 5yera old Championships.
He was bought for the young Swedish rider Emma Wester with who he shared his jumping career taking her to junior CSIO Championships !
From 1998 to 2000 IOWA was placed in many international shows, at the CSIW at Aarhus, at the CSIO in Falsterbo and at the CSI in Liege.
He was placed 6th at the final of the SIRES OF THE WORLD in Bordeaux in 1998.
5th in the heat in Hannover, 6th in Amsterdam and 3rd in the final heat at Bordeaux in 1999.
He won the Grand Prix for stallions at the CSI in Malines and won the final of THE SIRE OF THE WORLD.

PRODUCTION

IOWA, ONE OF THE DICOVERIES 2012

In 2012, IOWA was the sire of TOOTSIE MAIL winner of the 5 year old amateur final and SHEENA MAIL 3rd of the 6 year old Chamùpionship show in Fontainebleau.
IOWA is approved by the stud books Z, SF-A, AA, KWPN & SWE.
Up until now he has had a fairly limited production but of the hightest quality. The first generations are already winning in CSI.
In Holland he has 2 products before being exported to Sweden : OWENDEL, 6year old Swedish champion and winner in CSI with Erik Van der Vleuten (NL) at Rome, St Gall, London etc.. placed 456th in the world WBFSH in 2007. IT'S KENTUCKY 10th in the Swedish 5yr old Championships.

Born in sweden, CLAUDIA K is 11th in the 7 year old Championship show in Italia.
IAN CSIO winner, placed in the World ranking WBFSH 2009.

One of his 3year olds, QUIOWA DE COQUERIE, was chosen for the ELITE sale at FENCES in 2007and was sold for 40,000€ !

In 2008 a daughter of IOWA, UNIQUE DU MANOIR won the final for the young filly foals at the French Foal Championships at ST Lô.
IOWA bred in France from 2001-2005 with frozen semen. In 2006 & 2007 he was based at Brullemail and bred with fresh semen.
He went back to Sweden in 2008 but will be back at Brullemail in 2009 thanks to the excellent quality and results of his French foals with the SF broodmares.
IOWA is also perfect to cross with pony mares. He has a son approved as Poney Français de Selle in 2009.

ADVICE

IOWA 1990 - 2017
IOWA is of of the best sons of the famous LIBERO H. He is an excellent performing stallion easy to cross with. Either with tall long mares who need an athletic compact stallion or with medium size mares for breeders wishing to keep a similar type of horse easy and agreable and very commercial for the amature riders.
IOWA breeds also very well with ponies.
IOWA is a ravishing dark bay athlete of an average size, 1m64, with a wonderful character. This KWPN stallion, SF-A, has a strong back, good powerful hips. His lovely rounded neck ends with his pretty and expressive head.
IOWA passes on all of these qualities to his offspring.
One of the best stallion in France in 2012 !
